BlueMoon WritingDemo Reel Scenes

The Process

From conversation
to camera.

Five steps, roughly seven to ten business days, and one round of revisions built in from the start.

Step 01

Getting to know you

Every project starts with a conversation. We'll talk about your casting type, the kinds of roles you're drawn to, your goals for your reel, and what you want the scene to say about you as an actor.

Step 02

Finding the story

Once I have a sense of who you are, I'll begin developing ideas. Sometimes that means building a character from the ground up, and sometimes it starts with a single image, relationship, or line of dialogue. We'll settle on a direction before I begin writing.

Step 03

Writing the scene

I'll write an original scene from scratch, shaped around your voice and designed to feel like something you could genuinely inhabit — not just perform.

Step 04

Refining it together

You'll have time to sit with the script before we make any changes. Every custom scene includes one round of revisions, so we can fine-tune the dialogue, character, or emotional beats until it feels right.

Step 05

Bringing it to life

Once everything is finalized, you'll receive your completed script, ready to rehearse, film, and make your own. I hope it becomes a character you enjoy living in for a little while.

The strongest performances don't always come from the biggest lines, but from believing every one of them.
